They are now almost 2 years of age & are still here. Growing up in the shelter is all they've ever known. They've had no interested due to their timid nature & have been "considered" several times to be transferred to other rescues only to still reside here at LCSPCA. We love these two dogs very much & would love to see them get adopted to a home or homes where people can see that all they really need are patience, one on one time, and love. "I would like to find a forever home for Sadie, a black lab mix that was dropped off at our home. She is a very sweet natured dog and I love her, but she needs someone to run and play with her. She is approximately 4 years old and weighs between 50-55 pounds. She has been spayed and her shots are up to date. My husband and I are not able to run and play with her due to health problems. We are in South Boston, VA. She is an outside dog and we do not have kids. She seems very gentle and even though my cat is scared of her she's not seem phased by the cat. She is nervous about getting into a car. I am not sure if that is due to and she fears being left again. She will fetch a ball or stick if you work with her.
